What is social distancing?
Social distancing means staying away (6 FEET) from close contact in public spaces.
Manicato Taíno Cultural Center Inc. located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania is dedicated to educate people, preserve our rich cultural history through arts, language, music, literature, and traditions while honoring our Taíno ancestors of the Caribbean.
At the center, one can view Taíno artifacts that date back to the Arcaicos, Saladoides, Igneri, Pre- Taíno and Taíno cultures that called the Caribbean their home. The center displays archaeological findings such as pottery, artifacts, bones and carved stones. It dedicates a space for an indigenous library that contains Taíno books, Native American books and research material. You may also take classes in pottery and crafts right before the start of ceremony.
Manicato Taíno Cultural Center is open during days that traditional Taíno ceremonies are conducted and by request for personal or group tours.
We welcome your visit to our center between the hours of (1 P.M. to 8 P.M.) during ceremony days.
